Love the Bullfinch,Amy,we have only ever seen one twice here,in 15 years ! have a word with yours,to see if he fancies a holiday 'oop North' ! :o) We don't often see Greenfinches either, but lots of Gold ones, since we started putting Sunflower hearts out last year..

Actually glad we don't get Bullfinches, as they are renowned for pecking out fruit tree buds. Did get Siskins and Green Finches in the garden 30? years ago, but never seen any for a long time.

Thanks Paul ,we do encourage them as much as possible they come back year after year like old friends , the little Robin is so cute even if its almost dark when I go out to feed them he's always sitting on his branch waiting I feel guilty if I get home to late to feed him ... ...

Yes, they do become like old friends after a while. They reward me in the summertime by eating all my garden slugs, snails, and pests.

We counted 10 male Bullfinches and 6 (approx) females, 5 siskins, 4 long tail tits, numerous goldfinches, 6 Bluetits and 4 dunnocks yesterday at our feeders. Not boasting tho :) :))

The bullfinch is gorgeous. We have one who keeps paying a fleeting visit to our feeding station.
