Also the flower is nearly white.

I'd love to know the name...

I collected seed and grew them but unfortunately the plants look nothing like the parent, sad sad sad!

Yep, that's typical of hostas. It's best to divide if you want the same plant. I have this one but never knew the name.

I am going to have a go at dividing some of my other hostas but this one is so good where it is and slug free (I know I should not have said that) so I will leave it well alone.

They look glorious when they get really big. I love how it holds its leaves up off the ground.

Its gorgeous. Big Daddy is plain blue Mum.

Good tough looking, slug proof leaves.

thanks everyone.
Karen I didn't think that it was Big Daddy, but it is huge and the name would suit it. lol
Its about the least attacked of all my hostas Siris. :O)

Lovely pattern......we all await its name. ?

Karen said try Frances Williams but I am not convinced that is right either. The edge is green and the middle dark green/blue and on the pictures on google the edge is more cream than green. still baffled!

Possibly 'Goodness Gracious' .....

Karen told me a site to look at and the photo is exactly as she thought - Frances Williams, also the colour of the flower is the same, nearly white. So at last I have a name for this beautiful hosta. :O) Mickfield Hostas is a really good site for identifying hostas, the pictures are great will have to spend more time on there and see what else I like, might be spending some more money lol
