'Pico Piquinho'

'Pico Piquinho'

This is the one I just submitted for registration. DIP, bud count: 35, height: 36", reblooms. I described it as cream with a dark magenta eye and green throat.

Beautiful, does Pico piquinho translate as something? Found it a 2351m peak in the Azores?

Pico Piquinho means Small Peak. It is a 230 ft. cone inside the 7,700 ft volcano Pico on the island of Pico, and adds the last little bit of height to it. It is a small flower, so I named it after a small cone. Pico is 2 islands over, and you can see it from the south west side of Terceira (where I am).
This is the second one I have registered, and Simbad has a piece of 'Implosive Explosive'.

I figure it is about 2 years before I start registering the big pattern ones. I was looking at everything, and when I pick which seeds to start, most come from the group that rebloom in July/August. In the long term, that means I should be getting more flowers this time of year. Right now, there aren't a lot.

I just edited this to include ' marks on the name. I got my notification today that it has been accepted and will be published next year as a 2016 cultivar.
