Yes this was taken in my own state, in the local mountains just about an hour north of Los Angeles!!! El Nino has given us some
great weather for skiing!!! And Photos!!!

I never knew you got snow in California !

I have there a couple of times and you can go from shorts and tee shirt in L.A
freezing cold an hour up in the mountains and then back down to the dessert heat....:o))

California has many climates. I think California has around 18 of the world's 24 climates zones.

There's a lot of high mountains in California...some to more than 14,000 feet / 4,268 meters high.
Mount Whitney is the highest summit in the contiguous United States with an elevation of 14,505 feet /4,421 meters located in CA.
