low maintainance under a window.

I planted this about 10 years ago have only topped up the bark once. I rake it twice a year and feed it monthly in summer, very dry area. No pruning no work now. I covered it in coccoa first looked lovely for a short time. But never again! it rots down and looks horrid in clumps and moths love it.

Yes, that looks easy to maintain... I have similar planting in some areas of my gardens... looks good all year which is another bonus...

Yes me too, I'm very keen on evergreen shrubs, always something to look at.

This is a great and attractive way to keep things under control. It gives the option to leave an area of garden 'mothballed' (instead of leaving it to overgrow) until we find the time to do more with it if desired. I have seen this around but never realised how low in maintenance it would be, great idea.
