Crabs in garden (NO)

I just got to tell you this story, got up this morning, having breakfast, i was looking out the window on to the patio, suddenly i had the shock of my life.
There on the ground was two Crabs ( yes i did say crabs) not frogs like most people.They were about 2inchs in size. i got my husband to pick them and put them in the pond, when he was putting them in he saw 3 more, We just
could’nt understand where they came from. Even got the neighbours involved
wondering where they came from, We just could’nt understand it,Then 3pm today,my 20yr old son came in, we told him this story, he started to smile,
HE went fishing saturday, when cleaning his bag out on Sunday he found these crabs, so he put them in the pond,lucky no fish in their, so he put in choppd bacon, anyway thats how they got in the garden,and they keep on getting out of the pond, dont know how long they while last.

Was it salty water he got them from? I expect that's why they got out of the pond! Maybe you should get the salt-cellar out! LOL.

oh poor things, dont put them in a fresh water pond they will swell up and it will lead to their death. cant your lad take them back to the beach.
i bet it was a shock non the less.

You must have had a shock lol. I had a marine aquarium once many yrs ago. I had small crabs in it. One day the pump fell in and everything got electricuted :o((

I must admit I would have been a bit more than surprised too. They`re not exactly what you would expect to find!

Just to let you all know, 2 crabs didnt make it, but 3 were taken back to,a
place called, Portishead and let loose on to the rocks, they seemed ok.
