ants make hundreds of tunnels round the roots and to my knowladge no plants like that.the bigger the collany the worse the damage

all blackcurrents are normaly realy hardy hence the spikes.they can be a real pest in the wrong place

well a weed is a plant in the wrong place though some weeds like ground elder are worth getting out as soon as you can.if you know its not a weed it would be interesting just to see what it is

my friend grows bonzis and the best way to get rid of the sucker is to rip it down and of .you will end up with more to in the future if you dont.sounds brutal but you get all of the sucker like that.
