ow in the lawn just mow them down but it is a pain and i would say there one of the worst as they drop a lot of stuff all year and they have such broad leaves etc

your welcome.my neighbers just plain know im mad lol

On blog - Thankyou

be better if you can work something out with the new buyer if you can move them in autum to when there dorement excuse my spelling lol

i believegrasshoppers dont live long so actualy realy come of there own when there staple food ie grass is at its tallest which tallies up with this ones wonderfull colour. just plenty of food and plenty of hight.id say they are seasonal insects like dune bugs and a lot of insects.youve got to be herd and sean when you want to breed.id even stick my neck out and say this is a male.the grass hoppers are there all year but are smaller and the last thing they want to do is be noticeable.in late summer its do or die quite litteraly.

wow what a great photo

and its not the best time even if you can

buds right maybe about his grafting though my verigated acer sometimes throws up bright green leaves in the mddle of nowear.it was a graft so perhaps they can merge as they grow.i snap them off.yes they are bothe maples of the same sort id guess though im rubbish with latin names lol.greens the natural stronger jean so it has a habbit of taking over though saying that our tree looks brilliant .you couldnt pay for a tree that even lol.

welcome uni lol

On blog - Thankyou

the formal look is just from them 5 plants at the front in a row and the same size.maybe that will change with time though as they merge.i find with plants you have to think of the future realy rather than the now.

i hate gloves like you but using cement ive got no choice realy.

well trees bye nature take the nutrients and the sun so any tree is going to have some effect.what you will get endless numbers of is seedlings every year in your lawn.yes it will but grass is quite hardy ish.perhaps do another planting area there for ferns etc

your welcome

your welcome

On question - Leaf Mould and Compost

the heron was just a carrer bye nature.they are very skittish birds and you normaly just see what theyve done rather than catching them.i would advise a dog and a dog flap realy.dogs are always ready to protect and it doesnt take long for the bird to get the idea.the dog wouldnt catch the bird either.the heron has to see your pond so you could cover it totaly and save yourself uv lights and trying to get the green out of your water or make it difficult to stand near your pond.there are lots of possible cures like wire, cds etc .trust me though when i say my water in my coverd pond is clearer apart from a little tannin than my tap water .herons can puncture your liner ,desease, they can eat a lot plus the damage they do to bigger fish trying.i realy wouldnt presume a 4 foot heron cant catch a tame lazy kio espessialy as your going to buy small again.there perfect fish predetors .it wouldnt of landed unless it thaught it had a chance.the electronic things would bairly if ever pick up your cat as you can mount them up a couple of feet as herons are all birds.i hope ive helped take care bye for now.

On question - herons

its a nice accident though bulb.i fear the green will take over as it ages but it looks smart now

i would definatly try one of the hardier mixes of grass seed and i think its rye grass (could be wrong) the best people to ask are wear your getting your turf .

i was going to say it is good old english weather.just commen sense realy.its always worth checking the weather if your a gardener anyway but like seaburn sais junes a fair certanty but generaly if you keep an eye out maybe a bit earlier depending wear you are etc
