Off cuts and elbow grease...

I am so pleased with how my patio area has turn out although its a perfect example of how a little project can get out of control.

After clearing out brambles between my two sheds I found some patio slabs under all the rubbish. I made me realise that I quite fancied the idea of breakfast in the sun. A perfect way of starting the day.

Before I knew it the little bistro set on my rediscovered patio slabs didn’t seem enough so I wanted relay the slabs. I took up the original slabs and cleared the area, I could kick myself for not taking before photos.

Using some off cuts of wood my dad gave me, and gleaning his brain for knowledge I put together a new frame for my new slabs, and building raised beds.

I installed a tiny 55 litre pond and planted up a dwarf water lily and water iris.

I looked it all up on internet and I am so proud of what I have now. I literally have put it all together with a bit of hard work and the project cost me around £100 in total including the plants.

You've done well and seem to have done it alone too.
