My fall vegetable garden area is finally finished with its’ soil preparation and received its’ first two plants this afternoon:
Two very tiny “non-hybrid” tomato plants.
They are growing in the richest and best prepared area that I have.
This should be interesting! :-)

This area has just been prepared after growing corn last season. The corn plant's roots should be decomposing about now and turning into next year's compost. :-)
I gave some marigold bulbs a shot this season in a different area, but they never did very well. Must have been the 45 days of 100+ degree temperatures this summer. A lot of my plants including some morning glory did not fare the heat very well. Hopefully next growing season will not be as severe as this year's has been.

They look lonely. Why not give them some basil and marigolds for companion plants?
