Hi guys and gals, it feels like I havent been on here for ages (actual fact its only been a day or so.
just a little update from us in Sunny Norfolk. We have had fab waether and have been doing so much in the garden uts great. Little Cody has been sleeping like a charm since we have been spending more time outside, even sleepimg in of a morning which is great for me (as Im a bit of a slow starter some days)

Few pics attached of our progress through out the weeks including a few from today as we were feeding Batman and Robin!! our friendly Robins who have been site foremen for my hubbys wildlife area.

thay are such cuties hubbys been digging away and each time he stops they swoop in for food and them look himup and down as if to say “carry on”. Cody and I sat and had them eating mealworms fro our hands. one actually sat on my finger for a few seconds then flew off, it really is amaxing. Have now ordered plenty more (as our chamelons and Geckos eat them too)

Ihave dug out a leaf shaped flower bed in my back garden yesterday and today I planted a few dalias. Am eally pleased with the outcome (although slightly wonky) is looking good even if I do say so myself.

Hubby got some great snaps of batman and Robin unfortuantly the files are too big for GOY…boohoo

all in all am a very happy healthy young lady with a garden thats starting to look fab

have a lovely evening

haha hubby said I should of brushed my hair before I came out today, so I wedged my sunnies on to hide the sticky up buts hehe

we used live ones as they are what we give Red, Gordon and Jordan but dry are just as good we buy them from online, reptile webistes but am sure you can get them from normal pet shops/garden centres etc

Great pics and such a lovely experience for you and your little girl who will treasure such a memory .

If you have a photo edit facility and transfer your pics into those files they should compress, I take many pics over 3Mb but by tranferring them they reduce greatly in memory size.Hope that helps .

Ah, lovely pic Mookins, Cody is cute too!!! Well done on managing to have her! Sadly it's all taken too much for granted! "green" with envy that you managed to get to feed your robin, ours won't come that close!

Hi M!

Sorry I'm a bit behind with my comments on peoples blogs but as I only joined last week, I'm slowly, in between other things, trying to read through people's blogs - find them fascinating - and their pics.

So, just to say, great blog and cool pics of you,Cody and the robins :0)-

Well thank kind miss! Like yourself, it's all new to me. I manage a big menswear store on a centre nearbyu and this has now become a great way to relax - although relaxing was not what I was doing yesterday!

Digging top layer of turf to lay loose path and gravel but filled 10 bags....blog to come later!!

You're doing great with your garden and hubby did a fantastic job on the pond. It looks biger than ours but what plants have you got in there as we have none so far?

7 Aug, 2009

We have bull rushes, marsh marihold, papyrus,Naturally grown weeds /wildflowers, Ragged Robin,Champion, borage, sweet joe pye,Nettles,Montbretia, ladies bedstraw. Lilies and watermint in the pond.
Cant think what else there is. Bits and pieces we have been given from friends or from our local freecycle the rest has either grown on its own accord or we bought. Want to move my astilbe to the pond area to as they like damp well drained soil

we let it do what it wants then occasionally I have a tidy up when hubbys not looking

look forward to your blog, we have yet to do a path eeek

That's great stuff. We've put some bits down there like Hosta and ivy and grasses but looking to add afew other bits.

Might just go for the lily then as it's only about 4 x 2.5ft.

The path is a necessity for us as it leads down to the back gate/drive - just by the pond ironically enough. Our ideas have changed so much since I joined this site last week!! Originally, it was take the grass up - not good condition and thick conifer roots underneath - and gravel it with pots on slabs.

NOW, its' keep some grass, border along gravel path and arch by side of decking with trellis.......oh my, I'm back to work in a week or so. Be glad of the rest!! Need to get selling on ebay as I've been neglecting it with all this gardening & GoY activity! It's what pays for all the garden projects!

Thanks again for that M. Good stuff.
