Potting up!

Today i’m busy potting up my Begonias out of the propagators!
Friday i went to Cardiff show for a look around, and next month i plan to go to Malvern show to have a look around.
I did take a few pictures at Cardiff show, i will add them when i have a a chance to. I came across a new compost, well new to me anyway, it’s made with sheep wool and bracken – i shall try some of my plants in it and see how they do. It’s supposed to have nitrogen which i usually use cow muck for, and potash as well so sounds good. The wool is supposed to help the compost to stop drying out, which has been a problem in the past (the double Begonias tend to be a bit top heavy, if the compost does dry out it makes them more likely to topple over – not good for the show plants).
I have lost two new tubers, one from Bellcross nurseries called “Silence”
The other from Fibrex nurseries called “Mrs Peters”.
The other new ones look ok, some of my own have gone, there are always a few losses – but it is annoying when it’s a new tuber and i haven’t had the opportunity to take any cuttings from them. I don’t think i will be ordering from Bellcross again because i have lost a tuber, and i was unimpressed by the arrogant attitude of ignoring my request for “Icemint” i would have understood if i had been informed that they were short of stock, but to completly ignor my request with no explanation – well that’s rude, and i feel i don’t want to give them my custom again now.
Fibrex tubers were very reasonably priced for named Begonia tubers, so i shall use them again in the future.

How very rude! I hate it when you wait for something for ages, and it doesn't turn up, sooooo disappointing!

Taking cuttings from tubers sounds complicated, I won't ask! lol!!

Looking forward to seeing some of your begonia's in bloom.....
