A walk on the mild side part 2!

Well GoYs!, we’ve been down to my favourite place twice now; once in the early morning, & again at 6 tonight.
I’ve taken you along the footpath & down a wee hill to the river, & along to my meditation spot.
WHAT NOW? I hear you ask?
Follow me; in fact you go first, so you can see it through my eyes!
We’re going into the woods!
Don’t be scared now, I’ll look after you!

See, quite nice here, innit?

There’s a little island with a log bridge: Watch if you cross over, the current’s a bit whirly here!

The other end of the island. What’s that at the water’s edge?

Wont get much gardening done like that!!

There’s the kissing bough up ahead!

Ok, under we go, mmmwaah!

Pretty or what?

Watch your step here! It’s always muddy here. Why did you wear sandals? Numpty!

We have to step over this one! They all fell over in the flood.

Careful!

Worth waiting for, isn’t it?

I see daylight! Keep going, not far now!

Oops, it’s a bit steep here!

There, we’re on the home stretch!

I love the view here.

There! Back where we started from. My house is 30 seconds away!

I hope you enjoyed our wee ramble!
Let’s do it again in the autumn!
M xx

Phew! I'm worn out after that MP...go and put the kettle on, there's a good girl! Wish I'd not worn my high heels, lol :))

PS. Lovely pics, thanks for taking us on that "wee ramble" x

Lol!
Kettle's on, & I've got some dock leaves for the nettle rash! High heels indeed!
You're welcome, it was fun to do, & a nightmare deciding which pics to use! I started the second one at 9.30!
:~))

What a wonderful place to live MP. Great walk and views are great. We're going to a place called Bryn Garw Park next week, weather permitting and hope to get some great shots of wildlife and flowers and rivers etc. Hope it's as nice as these pics :0)

Very nice...

Your just doing this to wind me up. :~((
Its a great blog, lovely place to live and so peaceful looking.
Lovely photos aswell :~))

It is, especially since I live in a city!
I did 41/2 years in a hellish part of town before I moved here. I love it!
Where's Bryn Gawr? It rings a bell. Or maybe I'm confusing it with Bryngwyn, where my dad's from!
Have fun!

6 Aug, 2009

Where's Bryn Garw? Don't ask me...Wales I guess! I know my supervisor from work got married there if that helps!!

6 Aug, 2009

I know its in Wales but after that I'm stuck. I haven't been on the road in years. :~))

6 Aug, 2009

Ian, I'm not! I just wanted to share!
Stop Sulking!!!! 8~)D
But seriously, If you & your girls want to come up this way, I'd gladly show you all around. Maybe we could rope David in too. He seems to know more about the area than I do!
It is lovely, & sometimes peaceful, but everyone you meetup with there is there for the peace, so they're all pretty chilled!
Thanks! I was pleased with the pics! :~))))))))

OB!!!!!!!!!!
I'd worked out it was in Wales!
8~)D
I'll ask my dad if he knows on saturday. I know Bryngwyn is now part of Abergavenny. Other than that......????????

Di, I'm still giggling at your comments! You've been reading the tales of Odd Billy too long!! :~))

6 Aug, 2009

Don't involve me giirl! CD has her own mind and I am perfectly sane......we think!

6 Aug, 2009

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm! I'm not convinced! Not that I'd know sane if it bit me on the bum!

Lovely blog Mad. Thanks for taking us along. Glad I wore my hiking boots. Thought we were lost there for a while and expected to meet a grizzly around every corner. LOL

6 Aug, 2009

Lol! No grizzlies in Scotland, just wolves & they're gorgeous! Thanks for coming, at least you werent in high heels like Di!! :~))

6 Aug, 2009

Thanks for taking me on your walk. I did get my feet a bit muddy in one place but I always wear sandals. I even wear them in the winter lol. You're lucky to live near such a lovely place.

7 Aug, 2009

Hi Hywel! Hmmm! Sandals in winter? I dunno! I am lucky, & when I moved in 2 years ago I could see right down to where I turn off to get to the river, but some spoilsport built a warehouse in my way! :~((
But it only takes a couple of minutes more now, & people dont cut down by our wee row of cottages now, so everything has its upside! :~)))

7 Aug, 2009

a lovely blog and very pretty scenery.

7 Aug, 2009

Thanks for that, needed the excersize. I'm with Hywel on the sandals...hate shoes!

7 Aug, 2009

Thanks GoYs!
I must admit, it added something being able to share it with you all!

7 Aug, 2009

On the footwear front, if you dont mind mud, nettle stings & steep inclines, go barefoot if you want! I've tried it, ONCE!
Now I wear my walking boots!

7 Aug, 2009

I'm not that daft (some might argue with that!), just like padding around in my garden where there are no nettles, quite like mud though! 8-)))

7 Aug, 2009

Well I'm glad to find another sandal wearer lol. When I was in work they all laughed at me with my sandals in the winter but I didn't care :o)

7 Aug, 2009

Whatever you're comfortable with! I just react badly to nettle rash, so I have to cover up for my walk. I HATE wearing anything on my feet!
Yet......I love shoes!

7 Aug, 2009

Live and die in my flip-fops Hywel...they don't know what they're missing...well apart from cold toes sometimes. Mum used to say that I should have been an Aborigine! Maybe we should start a 'splinter group' (ouch!), Barefoot gardeners/ Peep-toe trekkers? 8-))) See what you've started now M!!!

7 Aug, 2009

Hee hee! :~)D

7 Aug, 2009

As long as you don't wear socks with them Hywel!

7 Aug, 2009

even more tired now M after the walk, lovely to see though

7 Aug, 2009

Come back again soon! Lol! :~)))

7 Aug, 2009

So we have Crazy Di in high heals, Gilli in hiking boots, Hywel in sandals (with or without socks), me in favourite (I have loads!) flip-flops and Madperth leading the tour in waking boots. Bet that'd make a cloufrul sight....Where we going next?

8 Aug, 2009

More of the same, Jen, but........ (just put up a new blog). But for the future, now that I've got my bike, we might get a little further afield! I wont have the walking boots on to cycle though!
