28 Apr, 2012

28 Apr, 2012

Lou!!! now, Ers=hers and Is= his !!!!!!(Goy Ers&Is!!) Never mind dont worry, just my sense of humour.
Sticki maybe ask Terratoonie about map!

28 Apr, 2012

does Terratoonie already do this?

28 Apr, 2012

How do we zoom into your map? Also you ask us to put our marker on it, how do we do that?? Am I being quite daft here?

28 Apr, 2012

Hi Sticki, TT. does some work on this site, not sure what it is called, but she might know the answer!

28 Apr, 2012

ok, thanks

28 Apr, 2012

lol Lulu, that's the prob - basically, anywhere that's got clean air (well, cleaner than this bit of London, which wouldn't be hard) and isn't on a flood plain! well, that also has good public transport and shops fairly near. and - and - but those are the basic criteria.

if you hold down the CTRL button and move the mouse wheel back and forth, the page will zoon in or out - there are other ways to zoom, but that's the one I find easiest

28 Apr, 2012

Pam: Small world :)

28 Apr, 2012

London's a bit of a flood/bad air risk...I remember!

28 Apr, 2012

Thanks Fran, yipee that worked!

28 Apr, 2012

there are other ways, GM, but if your hands are on the keyboard anyway ...

lol Lulu, my three main criteria for this new flat were: ground floor, private garden, outside any known flood risk areas. This end of Tower Hamlets is on slightly higher ground than the riverside end. Of course, halfway up a mountain is safer still! but then there's landslade and avalache risks *s*

28 Apr, 2012

Not on my mountain, and only 12 minutes drive to a small town heaving with bars and restaurants. I'd pitch it against Tower Hamlets any day! :o)

29 Apr, 2012

LoL! Me too!
I live highish on a plateaux, not near a stream or river but this rain!.....we have mini lakes everywhere!

29 Apr, 2012

Puddles everywhere here and looks like the bits from half a dozen oak trees have covered the garden with green confetti.

29 Apr, 2012

My friend Gill suggests we open our gardens at the end of April next year - hmmmm

29 Apr, 2012

glad it wasnt this year andrew!!

29 Apr, 2012

lol anyone want to swop for a ground floor flat in Bethnal Green???

sounds a good idea, Andrew, gives you a year to get ready, or as ready as the weather will let you!

29 Apr, 2012

Lulu - Mr Bettle settled somewhere near Chepstow, lol.
You can place me halfway between Abergavenny and Cwmbran, near Pontypool. Have got enough pins? lol

29 Apr, 2012

Will do Kasy!
Goodness the garden is looking lush but the grass is boggy!

29 Apr, 2012

And soggy..........And its still raining......

29 Apr, 2012

"Planted for minimal watering" - I think my garden description in the Yellow Book needs updating!

29 Apr, 2012

30 Apr, 2012

30 Apr, 2012

Lulu - it was a bit of sunshine here just a minute ago!!! Will have my camera ready for next spell, lol.
You need one of those huge map walls Lulu I'm affraid. ;-)

30 Apr, 2012

30 Apr, 2012

30 Apr, 2012

30 Apr, 2012

Stopped raining about 6ishpm yesterday, I got up to sunshine today and it was soon very warm, all lawns mowed and strimmed, considering how much the lawn at the bottom of the garden has been swimming lately, it was easy, planted a few things out and also had a session working in the greenhouses, my tomato`s are all planted in the rings, so I`m a happy goyer...

30 Apr, 2012

30 Apr, 2012

Probably Fran..........we let it go out to sea in the rivers without capturing it on the way I understand........

1 May, 2012
