I just had to post a few of these photos! glad I have a long lense but slight pity the sun wasn’t out!
For those of you who love birds….enjoy!

Ooops, missed!

I hope to next time catch the Swallows in the sunshine. Am sure a baby Bluetit was trying to get in on the act. I noticed it was the fledgling that cheeped the loudest who was given the most food!

How lovely Lulu, such amazing birds that never seem to sit still, always in flight, I love their squeal in the evening when flying around catching bugs.

we've had swallows nesting in the stable for many years Lulu but you've managed to take wonderful photo's in flight-- when the babies are 'taking flying lessons' and line up on the conservatory roof I worry the'll hit the glass but they have such quick reactions!

Thanks peeps.
I may take the camera into the stables but probably too dark! If it's sunny this eve might go out on a photographic session.
My Mum & Dad had a couple of baby Swallows 'left behind' one winter. They slept on an electical wire in the kennel. You could look at them from inches away, amazing!

ah bless Lulu, the thought of the distances they travel is impossible to imagine, last year we had the top door of the stable shut and the swallow was 'chattering' , it had just arrived and the 'guest house' was shut, after I'd opened up it flew in had a look around and flew out giving a couple of cheeps ( which I fondly took to be thanks....:o)
as you say.. amazing..

Thanks Lulu . . . lovely birds. It's amazing how they can skim the surface of a pool for a mouthful of insect, or sip of water . . . very good coordination!

Very true about digital gee19! Have been trying to photograph baby Goldfinches but all I get is the leaves of the shrub!! I can see 3 or 4 chicks though all with wide open beaks!
