I`m Delighted to Introduce My New Gardening Companion

Weds of last week I went with my Daughter to Manchester to see Spandau Ballet in concert,……

Sorry pics not great but the concert was and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
But no matter because that`s not the highlight anyway

We travelled a long way so booked ourselves into a hotel for the night. When we originally booked our trip the intention was to travel home as early as possible but no we carried on up country. It was a very warm morning and we travelled through some fantastic scenery……

Not far to go and we have to find a spot where we can make a very important call and no signal on our mobiles. My daughters phone worked thank goodness so I stretched my legs and also had a read …I always like to see where I am …….

Cant say exactly where we stopped for obvious reasons. On the way back now and we have a passenger….. Allow me to introduce Brynner my new gardening companion,

Born 22 Aug. which is why he`s sitting on a puppy mat ,he`s not protected yet but needed fresh air and the usual toilet stop, pleased to say he wasn`t carsick and slept for 3 hrs on the way home, lol,

Arrived home safe and sound and now Morgan has taken over as carer and already showing Brynner around the garden whilst we have a cuppa……

Bedtime now and we have a sleepy pup and a happier Morgan…….

Thankyou all. Brynner has settled in well, Morgan has taken to him and is perkier already. To be honest I was very unsure at first about getting another Flatcoat owing to what had happened to Malik but I know you can`t think about things like that, anyway I would be letting him down as well in a sense because he was loyal as well as loving and it would have been like shunning him and all he meant to me..Welling up here again, as San said sad and happy tears......On a cheerier side the little tyke already knows how to help me in the garden and is trying to deadhead as many flowers as possible in between the very heavy showers we are getting, lol...Mega lessons to teach before next springtime......

Oh good! A gardener dog!! Lucky you!!
I hope you'll all be happy!

Congratulations! "Flatcoat" what? Good company for all, & they do learn so quickly where to step or not.

Thanks Marie, we are getting there....x Sorry Orgratis, I forget some people won`t know, my new little lad is a Flatcoated Retriever, the same as my Malik was.........

~ you have done the right thing he looks gorgeous! ~ I'm sure Malik would approve~.keep that bicycle going straight now that you have got back on!

Absolutely wonderful looking pup Lincslass. If we didn't have Psycho Cat George we'd be looking for a Spaniel. But your Flatcoat looks a bit tasty as well! I can see he's well settled in, and being looked after very well by his house-mate!

YUL be BRYNNER the dog then?

Merfyn, our oldest cat Typsy is very spiteful but its as though she knows he`s only a babe and is leaving him alone, my son has a spaniel, lovable O`Malley and he`s a right character but very vocal, lol. The only time Morgan gets fedup of Brynner is very late at night and as they have seperate sleeping areas that one is easily sorted. You are absolutely right about his name......lol.

Had not see this..so glad! A pup will breath life into everyone for sure!...love the shot of them laying back to back..so sweet...

I am just catching up with this story now Lincsclass and all I can say is WOW!!
Isn't he gorgeous....and I couldn't agree more about getting another Flatcoat.
It is absolutely right that you should after your beloved Malik.
I am a "Champagne Labrador" person myself and have had several pairs of them - each time brother and sister...and each time we landed up calling them the same names.....how mad is that! We just HAD to carry on the tradition...it seemed disloyal not to..and it worked - for us! Each pair gave us 14 years of pure joy.
May your beautiful Brynner fill YOUR heart with joy...as I am sure only Flatties do!!
Cxx
