Morgan at Rest..

Sadly today we had the vet to our home, we knew it was the time to say goodbye, Morgan was 13yrs 1mth and to be honest we thought he wasn’t going to make it through the winter and were hoping he would just go to sleep, that hardly ever happens though does it, he was a faithful loving companion to all of us, but actually belonged to our daughter…

Sleep tight Morgan…..

On a happier note some news that has made my day feel so much better and I have to tell you all, I’m so excited and so very proud, my one and only grandson who we all love very much has been made Headboy of his School for next year so what was a sad day is also a good one…..

So sorry to hear about Morgan, it's never easy to lose a much loved pet no matter how old they are or how we feel 'prepared'. Wonderful news about your Grandson, I'm sure you're feeling justly proud.

I was half expecting to hear this really sad news. It is an awful time for you and I am really sorry.

However to hear such wonderful news about your grand son is so special and will bring back a smile I am sure.

Thankyou all, he was a happy loving dog, as all labs he was a character and very adept at stealing food, until last winter nothing was ever safe if it was edible, only his hips stopped him from reaching the worktops but one never opened the fridge without keeping an eagle eye open for our choc drop...
Yes we are very proud of George,I know I'm biased but he has worked hard and I'm pleased he has been elected, he was really bashful when he came with his news, I had to give him a hug, not something anyone else would get away with now but I always say I'm nannie and its allowed as long as I don't do it when anyone else is around, LOL...

Saw this on Facebook, Sue.
Once again, very sorry!
Paddy is a month older than Morgan....as I sit here typing this, he is at the vet undergoing more tests! It's all so very upsetting, isn't it?

Morgan has had a long and happy life living with you to the grand old age of 91 (if a year of his life equals seven of ours). You will treasure your memories of him as he helped you through some tough times. George is a credit to you all. Congratulations on his well deserved good news.

I just came across a website called "just over the rainbow bridge" its a pet memorial site, I don't know much about it but loving the poem I thought the site may be helpful to bereaved owners xxx

I've not really been on GOY much for last week as not been well and couldn't face my computer so I'm sorry in this being a delayed comment. I was so sorry to read about Morgan. To have lost the 2 so close to each other must be very hard on you all.

The news about your grandson is brilliant! You must be so so proud.
