About me

I have just moved to another house and garden.

I am certainly no gardening expert. but gardening has always been part of my life.
I grew up on a farm and we had a very big garden - fruits, vegetables and also a big flowergarden. Beauty and production of food for the houshold and flowers to fill the house were equally important.
This is still my attitude to gardening.

In my new garden I want an area for growing vegetables - an area for fruit trees and an area for producing flowers to cut - ( what do you call it - cutting garden??) - And then I want a garden area near the house for relaxation - designed in a way that underlines the architecture of the house.

I like simple natural designs - I don't have the time for big neat lawns and plants that are too demanding - but I want my plants to be healthy, so I will choose plants that suit the soil which is sandy.
I am also a bussy teacher at an adult educational centre - so I must ajust my garden ambitions to the time I have to put into it.

In my opinion the important thing about gardens is that landscape, house, garden and gardener suit eachother.
