Look at me … I’m shy.

No, no, no. Look at me, I’m gorgeous …

While everyone’s looking at those show-offs, I’ll just have a gander around here …

Which one shall I choose? Ah, this one smells good …

And I just can’t resist this one … ah that’s good, the queen’s gonna be chuffed with me!

Huh, you’re not the only buzz buzz buzzy bee around here …

Well I shouldn’t be hanging around here chatting to you, I’ve got seventeen thousand mouths to feed …

And I thought I was hard done by!

Thank you Lily and Fluff. I was working in the garden today and there were loads of bees around, I find them fascinating to watch as they bury themselves in the flowers, it's so comical!

Thank you all for your responses. There have been lots of bees, but hardly any butterflies - which is why I rushed for my camera when I saw this one - and I don't think I've seen one ladybird this year. Where have they all gone?
