i always go to the exotic display areas- they are usually stunning.
Got lots of pics before we went digital-not sure if son can scan them.I will have to look into that!
The year we went to Chelsea they had a South African stand with Protea etc in the Floral Pavilion-it was a knockout!
I think we spent more time in there than looking at the show gardens which we couldn't get near!
If you ever watch Carol Klein do the walkabout at Chelsea she is great,I always watch the whole week-I know the show gardens are sometimes totally irrelevant to ordinary folks gardens but for me it's the plants!

This is fantastic! I do wonder what it is. Our biology greenhouse at university has a ginger tree and the blossom is more flower like, this one seems more bromeliad shape. I have a tree that looks like this though I've never seen it bloom. Would be wonderful if it looks like this! Thought I knew my tree but alas a google search and I don't. I'll keep looking. This specimen is wonderful!

Hi there
It is from Trinidad and Tobago-I think it is a pink ginger-don't think the leaves showing are part of it but for arrangement purposes.
