Bloom from our Spring Garden

With the coming of some sunshine we can practically hear the flowers popping out in our garden. It’s a Spring garden with azaleas, camellias and magnolias so at the moment it is looking really colourful.

In Summer we rely on pots and walls of plants and the ever-changing green of the trees and shrubs.

Some of the images here were taken in too-bright sunlight, according to my husband!

I have a “thing” about lilac/mauve azaleas ; I don’t like the colour. What do you think of them?

What a wonderful array of colour, I do agree with you, I like my azaleas in yellows and orange.

Beautiful blooms - I always think that Azaleas and Rhododendrons can get away with such bright blooms because they don't last very long.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love azaleas in all different colours, and I'm a big fan of lilac/purple so I really love that one.

I love that magnolia too.

Thank you. The effect of light in paintings and photography is an important element.

Lovely selection, Eirlys. I'm with Louisa and like all the different shades but am a big fan of mauve/ purple as a colour in general so those were fine by me.
