Christmas day lunch -

a few members have commented about various meats.

I have devised a very tasty nutritious recipe for Pot Barley Rissoles which I will be serving on the great day, with 9 different vegetables, 4 raw, 5 cooked, + vegetarian gravy.
Which will make a very good savoury course.
It is available by PM for those who would like to try it.

Have decided, at this late stage of my existence, that I dont want anything that has had feathers, fur, or fish scales on !

Its a big decision Diane, just make sure that you get your essential vits and mins.....
I try for a balance with veggies a couple of times a week but meat, fish and poultry too

Last night was a creamy mushroom sauce made with pesto and oat cream topped with roasted peppers, butternut squash, courgettes and onions......all served on a bed of spaghetti and topped with parmesan cheese.....it was lovely.

I have to be careful of too many pulses and grains although I like it in soups
It was good Lulu, especially with the garlic bread......

We are taking our 3 dogs, the turkey and xmas pud to join my folks and their 3 dogs...could see a blog about it!! I just hope all the dogs get on! AND that we don't get snowed in!
