The Immigrant Birds

coming in to the West Wales estuaries are not the only ones who are muddled with the unseasonal weather.
I seem to be in the ‘Squirrel mood’ at the wrong time of year.
Every time I go into a supermarket to get couple of items, I come out with a load. Am stocked up for winter now, in July !
Is anyone else affected like this ?
Dry day tomorrow – back on the allotment, trying to catch up.

I do agree Diane, our appalling weather has definitely affected my shopping mainly because we need the winter warm meals, I love my salads but hubby only eats them on very hot days and lets face it we haven`t had many of them, not a single bbq, so even weekends its a proper cooked evening meal as well, we don`t eat many desserts but even those are more of a winter selection if we do have them...I think we are buying a few extra`s to save having to venture out so often, its not nice shopping in the rain....
Hope you get your day on the allotment Diane...

Clarice, Diane joined in July last year!
We only shop once a week anyway, but we are certainly not having many salads. It's still nice to have summer fruits for dessert though- necatarine strawberry and grape today with plain yogurt. Yum. We need something to brighten us up.

Didnt know there was the 'village mentality' on this site -
its best ignored.
I feel as though I have been here for years, when we read some of the rubbish published on the Huffington
Post site its wonderful to change over to read the comments by sensible people.
The weather men say our wet summer is caused by the Jet Stream moving out of it usual position on the Globe.
At least we dont have to worry about Volcanoes.

Sorry Diane I hope that I didn't mean it, or the tornados, earthquakes and tidal waves this small damp island has endured over its long long history
