My Excuse.

Lifes a funny old thing dont you think, I have a pal, love her dearly but she’s crap at her housekeeping not a bit organized stuff everywhere. Now me I am totally organized, hate things out of place I like to know were things are and stack and fold my towels to perfection. My pal is designing her garden and from what I percieve everything will be organised just so and she is doing all things to the letter whilst MY garden is so untidy, “My Excuse” is the wild life like it better, the birds will make their homes here, ladybirds bees wasps and even greenfly have their place. So ye lifes funny.

This fern wasnt invited to my garden it just appeared but I hate to pull it up, dont you love the way the leaves unfurl, my husband is set on relegating it to the dustbin but me I like its untidiness.

Mr Blackbird loves my dirty birdbath, he dosnt use it when I clean it out.

This is the start of my very own bluebell wood , arrives each spring between the flagstones at the top of my garden once again Alan is eager to pull it up but will do so only if he wants to die.

And finally can any one tell me what this monster is.
Its about 5ft tall this year and seemingly appeared from nowhere.

Hands off, Allan, wild gardens have their place! Jeff is a bit of "burn, bash, and bury" too.
Is the plant a delfinium?

The plant looks to me like valerian . . . . :)

I have a delphinium....not that. Thought you could be right Gardennut but am not sure, the photo's I'v looked at have lots of heads of flowers on 1 stalk mine has lots of stalks with 1 head on each. It looks like it might flower quite soon so will know more then. It's growing in the right conditions for Valerian...by my pond with plenty of sun. Valerian is the herbal sleep remedy isn't it?
