Weeds, weeds and more weeds

Today I decided it was the day to weed the herbaceous border!! Bad decision, although we had a couple of days of rain, it had hardly penetrated the soil, it was dry on top and thick clay when you managed to get a spade into it.
I managed an hour this morning and then another hour this afternoon, I have done 3/4’s of the border, the rest will have to wait until tomorrow, my back thinks it belongs to someone else!! I will never let it get as bad as that again.
Some of the geraniums are now in a large pot with some petunias. I have plants to go in the front. The azalea needs re potting, I need to have a search for a bigger pot for it. I bought an acer the other day, just a small one, that too will need potting on….the work is endless……OH has all his veg planted….he has just been out to water.

You have both done well with the garden Csarina, I guess because it had been left when the previous tenants were living there, you have now given it a new lease of life with all the new digging and creating of the beds and borders, comsequently the weeds are growing as well, you will get there, just don't wear yourself out doing it...
