A friend came this morning and helped OH put the wood round for the raised beds, they are going to take some filling up.

I moved a photina and put in the Rhodi, that was it for me. I was busy in the kitchen.

Two of the riase beds completed

The Rhodi is in.

Line for the patio going in. It will be later in the summer before it gets done, It gives me time to save up some cash. The slabs are gratis, they have been taken up from somewhere else and we are having them instead of them going to the tip.

That's a lovely neat job - how nice to have friends who will help! When its all finished it should make your life a lot easier.

I had the same problem, finding enough soil for raised beds. Growbags are cheap but mostly peat or other useless rubbish. If you know of neighbours who have pets the litter is a good fill up if mixed with Fish, Blood and Bone
granules. Also Chicken Manure, or Horse Manure from a stable. Some of them put it out at the gate for free collection. A few phone calls might be productive.
Glad to get rid of it.
