Look what my lovely Grandad made this week,to keep me safe from the road ….

Now I can ride my bike and play out by myself..

Thanks,Grandad..are we going to the Village gala now ?

Wow,that’s a big un ! Don’t think I could master this for a while.!

What a strange person..hope mum doesn’t dress me like this….

Now,this is more like it..

Busy morning,so time for a lolly at Grandma’s ..sugar free she says..whatever that means …

I’m not really going to sleep,…any minute now,I will be bouncing on here …shhh, don’t tell :o)

He's growing Bloomer, isnt he a lovely lad.........:0

You know we're a bit out of the village but we get quite a bit of traffic using this road between two A roads, last summer we heard a most unusual noise and there outside the house was a traction engine.......stopping at the hydrant for water, lovely couple of fellas with it on their way to a rally at the steam railway.....such a treat!

Thomas looks so happy to be playing out on his own

13 May, 2012

Growing so fast,Pam..and eating for England !..what we used to call a growth spurt...gone up a size in shoes in 6 weeks...better start saving again..!
I like Traction engines too..that was nice to see them outside....steam trains are my OH's favourites...which one do you live near ?

It's the 3rd photo ... it's something about the smile.
Well he must have got a few genes from Grandad mustn't he :o)

I remember my grandmother's settee in the parlour - it had orange cushions. My cousin and I always jumped on it like a trampoline (I don't think you were able to buy them in those days) ... We always had a row lol

He must have,Hywel..ah,the childhood memories...I think we all did that,at some point...or jumped on the bed..:o)
Lots of excess energy to burn off ! :Lol.

Thanks Shirley..the little devil is trying to fiddle with the bolt already !..plan B...one on the other side ..:o)..It would have been preferrable if the fence could have been higher, but it wouldn't have looked right, with next doors adjoining wall..shame really...

I managed (as is quite usual these days) to miss this lovely blog when it was first posted. Whatever happened to all those lovely little steamrollers? I remember them so well, and even had a ride on one once when I was a little girl. I am deeply impressed by Granddad's gates. Wow! I shall be leaving the computer at this image so if OH comes to use it, he may be inspired. (small hope)

29 May, 2012

No time limit on here,Gattina ! Lol..Glad you like the gates..they are doing their job...for now :o)..I think there needs to be a bolt on the other side before long...hope OH is inspired..you can but try...Russell has gone up today to do the next project..paint a horrible grey breezeblock wall ,between them and next door...it will be a nice stone colour soon..nice neighbours but they don't do anything outside...:o(..
