False Autumn

When the weather becomes cold and windy i expect the leaves to fall, this year however it seems to be drought causing it, yesterday we walked in the warm sunshine in our local park with the leaves falling all around us many are falling still green in colour others the more traditional yellow.this is quite worrying as we had plenty of rain in July and August as most did, so how strong are the Suns rays to cause this in four weeks? In the North I doubt this is happening but what about further South and East are you seeing the same thing or have you had some rain. The pictures were taken yesterday.

We're fairly close to you bjs but the leaves are hanging on in there quite well at the moment. We had a tiny amount of rain in the week...not enough to stop me watering.
Usually it's a strong wind that sends the leaves scurrying down & we get plenty of those!

Not much leaf fall here in sunny Northumberland. The only signs of autumn are the chestnuts changing colour and a few others too....

We have a Sycamore tree lined road and the leaves are falling slowly, as usual, and then later they will be in abundance but they are the normal yellow/brown.
