Lol, BJS, I liked that censorship idea, hahaha :))) Checking your white Echinacea, they do not appear green to me at all. Must tell you, that today I bought a new sort of Echinacea "Maui Sunshine", do you know it?
Your Rudbeckias are absolutely amazing, but Bruno is the best :)

Homebird it's a giant Begonia it had actually fallen off.
Never thought before Blackmore & Langdon is only a short distance from where we were probable they buy them from them.

What a lovely day out and some fantastic flowers and plants. I really like the fern and the colours of the ivy-leaved geraniums and normally I'm not a fan of tagetes but I have to say they look great en masse in that photo. Are they a simpler form than the usual French Marigold?

Love the Irish Mist - always avoided rubeckia because I thought they were all orangey colours! This wish list of mine just keeps expanding. Sounds like a good value plant if you saved seed from last year! (All the more pennies to spend on cider Lol ;-D)

Looks like a great day out! Love the silvery/purple fern.

Lovely blog Brian, and great to see the girls. You have some gorgeous flowers in your garden. The fern is lovely. Is that the same one you sent to me. Love it.

Lovely selection Brian, especially the Rudbeckia. I love the Irish Mist and your White Swan is gorgeous.
All my doubles grew this year except the "Pineapple" and the Goldsturm in the front garden is going great guns.

But I dont know what happened to my Harvest Moon and White Swan, they both started growing in their pots in spring and then just disappeared never to be seen again! Was sooo disappointed!

Great to see the girls having a nice time. Love to all.

PS Your Canna has just started to flower...am going downstairs now to take a picture!

Hahaha Brian, I agree with Vall, think you're pushing your luck a bit now.

23 Aug, 2012

Dawn, Brian was in his element with us 3 ladies and treated us to a lovely lunch and a tour round his garden which is just beautiful. I went home with about 6 new plants from Brian, one of which is "Irish Mist" which I'm really looking forward to flowering. Brian is so generous and I would have gone home with lots more had I not been travelling by train. They all arrived home in perfect condition Brian, many thanks for a lovely day out :o))

Lily nice to hear from you,It was my pleasure and enjoyed the day immensely next time we will have a luggage van put on the back of the train.I expect we could fill it up (nearly)
Val said you have had more treatment on the eye hope it has done some good.
Brian x

I'm sure you're right about filling a luggage van Brian but I don't think my garden would cope! Yes the eye injection seems to be improving things a bit thanks. Did Val also tell you that I got on the wrong train so all those plants had a long circular trip around Bristol before ending up back whizzing through Keynsham! LOL

Oh Lily did that mean you missed your other connections.
Not heard that from Val so assume it was her fault.

30 Aug, 2012

Yes I did Brian but I found my way home eventually, just 2 hours later than planned! Can't blame Val for this one I'm afraid, all my own fault.
