ANOTHER LITTLE JOB DONE BEFORE WORK

Had to raise the soil around this tree as the roots were being exposed where the soil had sunk down over time, so we snatched a few minutes to take advantage of the only sun we saw today at about 8.30 this morning. Got my hubby involved in splitting a clematis which had been growing in a pot and very kindly had formed 3 little clumps just right for splitting.
They are now sited around the base of the tree behind the low wall and will hopefully enjoy the shade and make bigger plants in time.
I think I should get a few bulbs to spot around the area and make a pretty show in the spring.
Just added a few more pics of the different areas I want to gradually fill up . Hope you like them.

Thank you Beattie, we have had rain off and on for a few days now, no sign of those beautiful long sunny days again. Still it's good for the garden so let's be patient. Have a good weekend!

No my husband was lucky enought to be given them and they were originally used to make a small pond by the side of the house, until the grandkids arrived and I was worried it wasn't safe anymore. Now he fancies himself as a bit of a weird designer and places them in little piles all over the place. Look out for his mini stonehenge under the planter I have pictured!
