Sad day- RIP Fudge

It is with great sadness that my beloved cat Fudge died yesterday. After 16 years of her by my side it has left a huge hole and I will miss my gardening buddy terribly. She brought me so much joy….

Oh Amsterdam, so sorry to hear this. Its a hard thing to say goodbye to a loved companion after so many years.
Sending you lots of sympathy. What a good thing you have photos of her - what a pretty little face she had.

So sorry to hear this, she will be so greatly missed we love our pets so much and they return this love ten fold. Having lost our cat last year age 15 it brings us great comfort that he remains in the garden he loved under his tree.

Very sorry to read of your loss Amsterdam, they become so much a part of our family sharing our homes and garden, of course she has left a huge hole and you'll find yourself looking out for her, hopefully soon you'll be picturing her and be able to smile at your memories of a beloved companion....xx.

Thank you all for your kind words, I have tears in my eyes whilst writing this as it's all still a bit raw at the moment. It was for the best but still very hard to come to terms with. Thank you again and I will use my garden(ing) as a sort of therapy (like I did when my Dad passed away) to overcome this great loss.....

Bless..I can so relate to this, can`t beat a feline gardening buddy, but treasure the memories and know she had the best life you could give her.

I gave this a "like", Amsterdam, because I believe that a well written eulogy helps us grieve and tells others of our loss in a positive way. My son just parted from his lovely kitty who looks very similar in colour and size to your Fudge. Misty was 21! It was like losing a sibling.
They are not replaceable but perhaps a new version is waiting in the wings? There are so many animal rescue sites on the net these days. Have found that those in need find us, usually. Rufus is waiting me to have my breakfast and finish on the computer so we can go outside...working in the bush today!
