Today's excursion

My hubby decided that today would be a family chopping and collecting wood day.

and off we go….(in his work car)

This olive tree was chopped down to make room for parking….be patient.

This tree was planted by my grandfather. Looks really old.

My dad’s family church…passed down from son to son. (I didn’t think to take the keys with me) This church was build by my grandfather and three other families (cousins)

The bells. (new addition….2005)

Olive grove…

Viola’s were everywhere

Wild flowers even on the roads (if you would call it a road)

Wild Iris

More olive groves

Fern….I am constantly warned not to let it grow in my garden…..spreads like wildfire. I really like it.

??? these grow wild as well.

Well, it was a nice morning….back down the road. Hubby’s chainsaw didn’t want to start. ;o)))

You're welcome Sticki. That is my favorite picture too.

Oh, I can just feel that sunshine! Btw - I think your 'fern' might be bracken, and if it is, you really do not want it in your garden.

Ojibway93 I think you're right. It does look like bracken (googled it). These grow everywhere!!! Keeping them out of my garden. Thanks.

10 minutes on the normal road and then 5 minutes on the dirt road. That's if you know how to get there.

The olive grove looks like an enchanted forest.

Alexandra, I think the ??? is Arum italica - we have quite a lot of it growing around our garden, and you can find it by the roadside, too. Evergreen and rather nice, especially when it flowers. Lovely countryside!
