I soooo love shopping on the internet, doesnt matter what the weathers like, no crowds, no searching for parking, no disappointment from wasted journey, just home, warm and dry, slippers and a cuppa…..Aaaaaagh driving a mouse is so much easier, environmentally friendly and doesnt cost a penny in petrol :-)) so off I went to QVC again and bought Richard Jacksons flower power and fertilizer plus more plants, then I toodled off to eBay and bought 10 white gladioli corms for a mere 99p, 50 3" square plant pots and 5 large seed trays, a new cream damask tablecloth for my dining table in the conservatory and left a bid for some bare root Aconitums (all bargain prices)

Well….its such lousy weather, cant do much out there today, so think I will stop here as I have more shopping to do…..now which shop shall I go to now…..

have to agree with you norfolk, it's a complete waste of time going to the local town, paying to park , only to find the shops don't have what you want in stock, or just don't sell it.
amazon is a good place to buy stuff, much cheaper than ebay.
plants are a different matter, i always use local garden centres. if they go out of business because of cheap plants sold in supermarkets it will be a sad day indead.

Yes I like Amazon for Dvds and books, as far as garden centres are concerned, I always look for their sad case plants on the clearance table at the end of each season, its amazing what sad case ugly ducklings Ive had that turned into beautiful swans :-)

I agree with you on that, my Rhodo has the most stunning flowers and it was dirt cheap.

Amazon is my first choice for any books I want too.

Steve, you're right on that, it would be sad if local garden centre's went out of business!
