But only for a fortnight. This is just to let you know that I’m off on my holls on Saturday, so might not be about very much for a while. I’m going to visit my sister and her family, who live in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok isn’t really a plant-lovers paradise, but I will be sure to look out for interesting plants to photo. I will also make sure that I visit Bangkok’s famous flower market, which I missed on my last visit. Sis is on-line, however, so I might just have a lookin to make sure everyone is behaving themselves :-)

So, on one hand I’m very excited and looking forward to getting away. But on the other hand………… There is so much going on in the garden and I’m afraid I will miss so much!

For example……..

The new Azalea is just coming into flower and I suppose it will all be over by the time I get back :-(

And remember my bargain Wisteria that I got for £5 reduced from £60? It has got 3 flower buds on it, which I’m afraid I might miss, although they are still very small, so I might be lucky enough to catch those.

And then of course there are the bearded irises…

I bought these 3 years ago. I missed the first time they flowered because I was on holiday, then they didn’t flower the next year and they are ALL in bud now and just about to open and I’m going away again! Oh No!!!

I’m also a bit worried about my new little fishes – Sphere and Rooster – as I walked past the pond yesterday, my shadow fell across the pond and I think the fish panicked and one of them JUMPED OUT OF THE WATER!!! Oh dear….. Had to pick up the little chap and chuck him back in the water :-( He seems Ok now – hopefully he’s now learnt that such things are not a good idea…..

Anyway, cheerio for now! :-)

Sarah.
