Round the back.

So far all the work has been on the front or side of the Bungalow. The back needed a lot more work on it.

A whole bed of Hydrangeas

There is a curved wall between the side of the house and the fence. Not sure why it is there.

More Hydrangeas.

We are not that fond of Hydrangeas to want a bed full of only them.

Fuchsias as well as Hydrangeas, all mixed up together and covered in Bindweed

There was also a large amount of Lysimachia Firecracker. A real thug of a plant

The Fuchsia magellanica alba I planted elsewhere.

I re-laid the path to make it safer.

The Hydrangeas were removed and the soil refreshed with compost and makes a nice bed ready for planting.

This is a nice area for growing a few Vegetables.

We are trying to get the 'hard' landscaping type work done while we are still fit enough to do it.

the paths etc do make moving around the garden so much easier. that looks like a nice sized veg plot.
I would also have removed the hydrangea, I don't mind the odd one but there did seem to be a lot of them.

Oh blimey, I have to agree that amount of Hydranga's is a tad overkill, unless in a park, that bit sure looked like hard going, have to admit my joints ache in places I didn't know I had them at times, I 'm making mine easier to manage as well Ob, hubby wouldn't agree but he's not a gardener so doesn't understand how it works, lol....Great area for veggies, I have never been successful with any so only grow my salad crops now......

My goodness, the previous occupants did like their hydrangeas, didn't they? The new landscaping looks good and will make it easier to manage. I think there are a few of us on here thinking more about ease of maintenance. I'm impressed with all your hard work. It will be lovely next season.

What a lot of work to get done. Thank you for showing us your progress. Looking forward to seeing it again in the future.
