Washington D.C.

Hey guys. I came across some pictures of our vacation to Washington D.C. 3 years ago. I’m not gonna label them all, because I don’t remember where everything was from. There are some very beautiful gardens there (indoor and out). A lot of sculpture gardens too. The picture of the squirrel is in a garden right outside of the whitehouse. They are very friendly squirrels and will eat from your hand. Good ambassadors I guess. I tried to leave out photos that are unrelated to gardens or nature. Hope you enjoy!

There was a botanical butterfly conservatory within the Smithsonian National History museum. We were lucky to go through it because it was a temporary thing. It is one of my favorite memories of our vacation :) It was filled with all kinds of butterflies, huge and small. I was attracted to the black ones also. Stunning contrast against the greenery and bright flowers they had.

I love that giant spider. I haven't been to DC in years - I think I went once or twice as a child. Great butterfly pics!
