ALL THINGS....

….BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

my snakeshead fritilliary is now fully open and looks good inside and out. There are also white ones on the same plant! Very odd.

More £1 bargains from the Poundshop – bought and planted today

Chloe had a spring in her step this morning so I coaxed her along to the woods (it took 50 minutes for the round trip, very slow) but was worth it

ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

Twin lambs in the field on the edge of the woods….

….masses of white anemones as far as the eye could see

and lots of these bright yellow flowers. Are they celandine?

ALL THINGS WISE…..

Well, perhaps not…. back in the garden, Jubilee had made friends with a warm brick and had ‘bottomed out’, all four legs astride frantically waving about. I rescued her and removed the brick!

Growth in the greenhouse is good. Salad leaves are doing well….

….as are the geraniums and lilies.

Jubilee seemed a bit peeved that I had moved Warm Brick, so sat beside him sulking!

Meanwhile I planted my recently purchased ivies. (Note the multi-purpose chicken wire. Kind son-in-law helped me fix it to fence for plants to clamber up and several inches into the ground to prevent Little ’Un from digging under)

I seem to have stalled on finding anyone wise around here but, never mind, everything in the garden seems happy – the little cluster of London Pride…

My pansies….

..and the beautiful red berberis

ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL
ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

I’ll settle for that :)

Lovely read. Makes me think this is the way England should be. I'm not English, but somehow, your blog makes me feel "homesick"...
