Thanks for your comments. I have come to a bit of a standstill as the duck is nesting on one side where a zebra grass and hydranga need cutting back. I don't want to disturb her :)

One day its like summer and the next back to dreary Gee. Your new design is looking very good and lots more room to grow your new collection of plants. Should be looking really good in a few weeks time. Hoping for a bit of sunshine to brighten things up a bit. I hope Mr Mole doesn't pay another call this year!

I'm having to wait in for my new rotary washing line this morning, Dorjac, (having spent Monday tangled up trying to re-thread the old one!), so I am just gently pottering. I have just planted a Solanum crispum against the fence, another of my new buys. I thought about Mr Mole too, as I was changing everything but found no mole runs at all, although there has been some activity on the little green just around the corner from my bungalow. I will keep my fingers crossed that he is bored with my garden :)

All I can say after all that Gill is " Please can a shop with you " What bargains ! A lovely choice for your newly designed garden , it will be exciting to see each one grow and bloom , I do hope Mr Mole keeps out of your garden , you really don't need him doing his handy work !

I was struggling with my rotary line once when it came undone and sagged all over. I was lucky, as a surprise visitor turned up and volunteered to sort it for me. He managed it quite quickly. I wonder who threads them up at the factory.....what a mind numbing job....probably done in 5mins flat! Nice bit of sunshine this afternoon too got a bit more 'tidying up the garden' jobs done.
