NGS GARDEN LADYWOOD EASTLEIGH.

This garden measures 45 ft X 45 ft and there are 2000 different plants growing!! yes I did say 2000!! it has been featured on TV and visited by Alan T and other famous garden presenters and appeared in many books.

This is the front garden……

There was a pond with a mirror and a small seating area….

Not only did the owners have a pretty little summer house but two greenhouses as well…….

Clever use of every available space, island beds, secret corners….

I was staggered that you could pack so much in to such a small space and not look cluttered, very clever lady!!

I liked this native orchid….

And this sweet foxglove…

Now I ask you a summer house two greenhouses a pond 2000 plants I must be going wrong somewhere!! this garden is actually SMALLER than ours!! but a real gem.

What a wonderful garden

Another marvellous garden, Dd! They have managed to squeeze a huge amount of plants in, but as you say, it doesn't look overstuffed! The garden room looks lovely too, perfect place for a quiet contemplate. Thanks again, Dd for going to all this effort to show us gorgeous places that not all of us can reach, you're our little Goy ambassador!
Is that little foxglove, Digitalis ferruginea? I used to grow this, but I think last winter 'did for it'!

I have been going to this garden since it was first opened. Just love it and it is one of my favourite gardens, always packed with lovely planting.

But Dotty, there is a similarity to yours. You have an awful lot packed in to yours too. This is beautiful, too.

Wow Dotty - I'm almost speechless . . . what amazing planting, it's just fantastic, and I've put your lovely blog into favourites so that I can savour it again. Would love to visit, but it's a long way. Thank you so much!

Did I read correct Dotty .... 45 feet! Not 45 metres. Truly amazing.

Great summerhouse.

What a great garden, how on earth do people manage to look after it all ? So many plants and features - you certainly can't get bored looking at this garden, and I'm not surprised that Jen H has visited it more than once - you probably need to in order to see everything.

Thank you for putting this on here. I find that it's easier to study what's in a garden when someone takes photos. If a garden is featured on the telly, you usually only get a fleeting glimpse of what is there.

Sheila it was a pleasure, pleased you liked the garden.....Dawn for the size it was amazing. Mariek it was very well designed and had been featured in many magazines. I agree Frybo it is helpful for me to have photos so that I can see the planting.
