My New Stomping Grounds

Most of you, if you have been following along know that I have been leasing my home out as a tourist lease and am now living with my daughter Mindi.
She and her husband and 2 of my grand daughters live in an area called Cape George Village..it is right next door to Cape George Colony..and it is about 3 miles from where my home is that I am now leasing out.
I like to take my dogs out for walks around the neighborhood here and I take my camera along as there are some nice views and some pretty gardens.
First picture is of my dogs doing what they do, tangling leashes and reading their mail…

The second is of some very prolific Cotoneaster that I loved the berries on..and the view is nice to behold as well.

The third is of a leaf that made me think of our Noseypotter but I am sure he would do something much more extravagant than this! lol..I do wonder if they made it themselves as there have been so many teaching how to do this..

The fourth is of some colorful grasses that were looking so nice with the wind moving them about…makes me melt to see it..

and this Fifth is not only of some incidental conifers & fireweed… :) but of the island that can be seen from this area..it is called Protection Island and is a sea bird sanctuary..we have Puffins and other sea birds that nest on it…

I am pleased to have such a nice area to walk my dogs in and they are enjoying it a lot too!
I am still working on my home and leasing it to tourists, but as the season is winding down..it is much slower so I am now in the process of readying it for sell. I am fine with the idea..has not been an easy choice but I feel it is the best..Will send along pictures of the front porch here now that I have moved my pots of plants here. Have not taken any of that yet!..lol
I Hope you all enjoy…xxx’s to all.. ~Cat

Another interesting blog Catfinch, you really do live in a beautiful part of the world. In the 60's I nearly came out there having spent three weeks with a pen-friend from Boston but 'events' had other plans for me. Is the mountain in Washington State called Mt Washington. Silly question but if so it could be the one I drove up all that time ago. I seem to remember the road is 7 miles to the top. I like all dogs but I have to admit I'm a little bias towards Lhasa Apsos. Did I see one in your pic? it looks very like my Barnaby. If there isn't a pic in my gallery I'll post one. Thanks again for the walk.

Hello Heron...this blog was done when I stayed with my daughter a few miles from where I live in Port Townsend, Washington for a couple of months while I leased my house out to tourists for the tourist season..it is all on the Olympic Peninsula here.. I have been over Washington Pass..which is one of my favorite passes to travel over on Highway 2...but I am not sure about a Mt. named Mt. Washington..it could be one of the many different peaks in the Cascade range has that name..Mt. Index is one I know..the little dog you see is Munchie..he is my daughters dog and he stays with me a lot..he is half Shitzu and have Pomeranian...what a charachter..has a sweet personality..and such a good little guy for coming when you call or just staying close..so much fun. I have seen your Barnaby..he looks to be a great companion as well..aren't we so privileged to have such wonderful friends...? :o)
