First time to drink our coffee outside this year!!

It was a lovely, sunny day today and I was extremely grateful! There is flooding down by the river in the village and it is a long time since we saw so much water.
Thank goodness for the sunshine!

Took a few photos to share.

Can you name this camellia for me? It is a paler shade of pink than all our others.

There are also narcissi in this pot but the hyacinths have flowered quite early.

Something else out very early is our cherry blossom – what is going on?

Crocuses come alive when the sun shines and look so different.

I bought this primula on Saturday because the colours on it were so pretty.

Sarcococca is flowering too giving such a nice scent. We lost our Daphne so it is trying to make up for it!!

I shall finish with these because I love to see them each spring.

Let’s hope for lots more sunny days like today – I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next one!!

Grand to see your first day out in the garden, I do hope we get a decent summer this year so that we can enjoy many more. Love the colours of that primula.

Lovely photos Chris, gorgeous camellia, and the new primula is delightful. We have ordinary primroses, several hellebores, tete-a-tetes flowering, and a little apricot tree in bud … lots to look forward to for us all 🙂.

A lot of colour there Chris and I know you would have been pleased to get into your garden.
Not to dishearten you, but Countryfile weather for the week said it will be going back to NW winds and much colder with rain again!
So..make the most of a sunny day! xxx

very cheerful plants . The fluctuating temps are the main reason for flowers being early. Had a few butterflies out in the sun too.

Lovely and colourful, Chris! You must've had a big smile on your face - your garden is alive with Spring blooms!!!! It's definitely been milder too, hope you enjoyed your first coffee outside this year!

Lovely pictures of your garden flowers, Wildrose! Your Primrose is lovey, too! I also bought some Primroses on Saturday! I've now put them in pots on the balcony railings! Let's hope for some sunny days with very little wind. I might see my first bees of the year then! 👍

Well, we did have a couple of nice sunny days but woke to rain this morning so all the crocuses are soggy. Thank you for showing yours when they look good! Glad you were able to sit outside for a bit. The primrose is very pretty & also the Camelia, & your daffs. Keep smiling, :-))

Coo, coffee outside in February, that's amazing! We managed a barbecue in March one year, but that was some time ago and looking at the long range forecast I don't think it will be repeated this year, lol.
I love your new primula, Wildrose, couldn't agree more, it is very pretty!
It has been too soggy underfoot to venture far from the hard standing in my garden this last week. The overnight frost and drop in daytime temperatures has put Spring on hold in the last few days here in the Chilterns. My windowsill seed trays are doing okay though, the lobelia plugs are looking promising and this month's sweet pea sowings are almost ready to be pinched out. The pelargoniums that were sown last month are almost ready to be pricked out, the first of this year's seeds to reach that stage. Thank goodness I tidied the greenhouse last month, windowsill space is getting a bit short!
