MEETING PUDDLEDUCK :)

My friend Daisyco and I spent a wonderful afternoon visiting Puddleduck and her ever-so-special garden. We were enthralled the moment we entered her front gate and made our way into her back garden. My descriptions just won’t do it justice…it was magical, delightful, peaceful, pretty, chocca-full of so many separate little areas of seating and spots of interest…

We had several trips around the garden as you just could not take it all in. So much thought has gone into this garden (I believe it is 35ft x 25ft in size).

These next two photos are of the seating area where we had some cold drinks and chatted, and chatted, and chatted (lol)~~~

And what follows are photos of the various areas (rooms) in the garden~~~

The beehive made by Puddleduck’s hubby~~~

Now…pick a seat…so many to choose from~~~

And the shuttered mirror that I fell in love with~~~

Even a hidden spot for the bird house~~~

Fairies are welcomed into the garden too~~~

Tea for Alice~~~

And our hostess with the mostest (caught on camera as she was preparing a lovely tea table for us…cakes & scones….and best china)~~~

All too soon it was time to wend our way home after a great visit…such a treat and such a warm, welcoming afternoon. Thank you Puddleduck for your invitation to share your lovely garden….it will be a memory not soon forgotten.

Awww...thanks all :)) I think Jaquie's pics made it look a lot better than it actually is, lol! Since the bad weather at the weekend most of the plants are battered to the ground. Still, "the sun shines on the righteous" so they say....I'm just so pleased that Jacquie and Daisyco picked a lovely afternoon to visit :)

Amazing what can be done in a tiny space. My garden is nearly twice as big but i think its small. Very glad it's not larger! Are those cakes edible on the white table? Why weren't you on Titchmarsh TV garden show? The shuttered mirror is an absolute classic. So glad you enjoyed the visit.

20 Jul, 2011

Lol....Titchmarsh didn't ask me, Dorjac ;)
And err, no...the cakes aren't edible on the table...one's a candle holder and the other's just an old cookie jar :)

Scotsgran...that's very kind of you to say so :) It's a very "relaxed" sort of garden (i.e. we have weeds, and overgrown plants, but who cares? Lol )

Whistonlass...you are far too kind with your comments :)) I'm in a right panic here....got a group of 10 "Flower Arrangers" visiting tomorrow night on route to Tatton the next day....O.M.G.....no pressure then...;)

20 Jul, 2011

no wonder you have no time di ............... how did they find you lol . they will love it !!

20 Jul, 2011

Di....the "Flower Arrangers" will love your garden....sprinkle some magic fairy dust around the place and keep smiling :)

Yep, no pressure....lol

Hi Jacquie.
You clearly had a great time visiting Puddleduck's garden. I love that shuttered mirror too. Between yours and Cristina's and Puddleduck's own photos I really feel that I've been to her garden. I may even have spent more time there than in my own!
