mothering day treat

Its mothering sunday this weekend and I’m working!
So as a treat took mother for a wander round ‘The salutations’. Wanted to have a look at the daff’s in bloom any way.
Realy worth the return visit:-

As usual got some great ideas. Thinking how I can incorporate the circles in bulbs into the works garden. Prehaps a heart in the flower bed by the bridle swing might be cool!

And……..
I’m booked my self onto a ‘Practical Morning’ with the head gardener only £15, advice on care of bulbs, bound to pick up some tips. keep you all posted! Just got to wait till the 13th………..

Mother and the other end of the bed.

And pleased with myself, finished my painting of my xmas bulb. the orignal was the same colour as the wall paper so blended in nicely, then fell over before it was properly out so got dumped long before it looked like this! Still dont like indoor plants……………..

Thank you, although she was a bit taken aback when I had to leave her as down payment for lunch while I nipped to the 'hole in the wall', I thought everyone took plactic these days!

What a pretty painting - very realistic and I love the colour of the tulips - your mother makes a nice subject amongst them.

Those gardens looked worth visiting. A nice thing to do for your mother. She must have enjoyed.

"Mother left as down payment" ... Lol...

... not far from me is a very good independent nursery ... he doesn't take plastic... only accepts cheques or cash... and he trusts that your cheque won't bounce... never asks to see a plastic cheque card ..

The money goes in one of those tills with a wooden drawer which pings out ... just like in Ronnie Barker's shop "Open all Hours" Lol...

He grows wonderful trees and shrubs .. good prices ... does everything the old fashioned way... amazing place :o)

terratoonie, your nursery sounds grand, wish we had one like it!
Mum did enjoy herself, keeped saying how fragrant the day had been. I had my hair cut last week and every one keeps saying how like her I am, I've decided I could look a lot worse Lol...............
