why has my bambou suddenly turned yellow?

Since then I have been watering it a lot. The branches are still green but the leaves are all yellow. Should I cut it down?

yes brutaly chop it down so the plant doesnt need to try and put roots down and support the old growth if bamboo is what your talking about
