my crocus plants have no flowers

i have had crocus plants in my garden for some time, but for the last few years they have not had any flowers

do you do anything to the foliage such as cutting it back in the 6 weeks or so after flowering? if yes that is why. leave the foliage for at least 6 weeks. is the soil low in nutrients? try ading a mulch of rotted compost or fish blood and bonemeal to the surrounding soil. does it get too dry for them? all these things can affect how they flower.
