Are you sure you mean threadworms? These are worms found in the human body due to poor hygiene and are passed from human to human so I don't think you will find them in the soil.

I'm not sure about treating it, but I guess a person can pick them up from animal poop, children can pick up threadworms eggs on their hands from playing football and at school from the playing fields from bird poop ect.

If you are good with hygiene, then you should be ok.
