Growing vegetables in fruit cages.

This year my greens were shredded by caterpillars. To avoid this I am thinking of growing them in a fruitcage. ? Is it possible to get fruit cages that are encased by netting that would keep out butterflies.

yes, you can get fine netting , that is butterfly proof. i purchased some pressure treated battens and built a wooden frame around our sprouts and fitted the netting onto it, unfortunately one still got in via a small hole in one corner . but next year i will make sure it's built better.so we resorted to a huge caterpillar squidging excercise , and saved our produce.
