plum

Can any one tell me what has hapened to the victoria plums this year,they are my favourites but haven't seen any.

I dont know what part of the UK you are from but here on the South Coast my mother's tree was in full bloom when the very late snow arrived. The few plums that survived also suffered from the very wet summer and rotted. Whether this is the same across the UK but it could be an explanation for their dissappearance. The same snow hit our peach tree with only one fruit surviving.

My plums were also know where to be seen. I have resorted to root pruning.
1mtr from the tree chop all vigorous roots. As these trees sucker, this will entern send all the good nutrients back up the tree to give a better crop yield.
