I have tree roots growing on the surface of my lawn could I chop them out and then patch up my lawn? one is greengage tree and the other is Griselinia on the other side of the lawn both lots of roots are about 2" dia. trevor

I had different trees doing this but even so I would get rid, as from my experience they will get bigger and ruin the blade on your mower, better to do it sooner rather than later.
