First one is Coltsfoot, a weed. A couple of months ago it would have had a yellow flower, ahead of the leaves.
Second, Aquilegia.
Third, a garden perennial, I forget it's name, but not Cornflower, sorry Ladybug.

The third one is centaura (which the common name is cornflower i think)

The Aquelegia will seed around and make interesting clumps for future years. The Centaurea wil eventually make a wide clump, cut off tatty foliage in autumn/winter.

Cornflower, to me, is a blue annual that used to be seen in the cornfields.

Is Centaurea montana (mountain cornflower) separate to other cornflowers?

i was just going to say the 3rd one is related to the cornflower family

What's in a name - cornflower or knapweed. For me, the above is a knapweed, probably the perenial Centaurea montana. Again for me, cornflower is the annual Centaurea cyanus which is available in packets from garden centers.

Thank you all- this is amazing ! I now feel safe and ok to dig up the Coltsfoot.

That coltsfoot had me going, I thought it was something else but name on tip of my tongue then lost...
Bulb, lots of people refer to the Centaurea pictured here as cornflower, or cultivated cornflower. Funny isn't it, I don't think of the big, hairy, blousy poppies as "proper" poppies, only the lovely delicate red ones, as sold in packets by the Royal British Legion!

How do I say thanks?
